The Perform Metal Scaffold Erection course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to safely erect, dismantle, and maintain various scaffold systems. Covering regulations such as SS659 and WSH(Scaffold) Regulations, the course emphasizes compliance with safety practices. Participants will learn to handle frame, tubular independent tied, tower, and modular scaffolds, ensuring adherence to general principles and safe work procedures. Additionally, the program includes pre-checks, housekeeping, and record-keeping of scaffold systems. This comprehensive training prepares individuals for safe and efficient scaffold operations in compliance with regulatory standards
An employee who carries out erection, installation, re-positioning, alteration and dismantling of scaffold. (Paragraph R5 of the WSH (Scaffolds) Regulations 2011)
On completion of this competency unit; Learners will have
the knowledge and application skills to erect and dismantle
scaffold structure, assess and evaluate completed
scaffolding task. It will also impart learners with the
competence to check and maintain scaffolding equipment
in compliance with WSH Act, related regulations and
organizational safe work procedures
