This course focuses on supervising metal scaffold erection, providing learners with the essential skills to safely set up, inspect, and dismantle various scaffold types. It covers independent tied scaffolds, frame scaffolds, birdcage scaffolds, tubular tower scaffolds, aluminum tower scaffolds, all-round system scaffolds, and cuplock system scaffolds, all in compliance with SS659 and WSH (Scaffold) Regulations. Participants will learn to identify hazards, ensure safety during scaffold operations, and maintain accurate records using scaffold registers and inspection checklists. By the end of the course, students will be proficient in managing scaffold erection and dismantling safely and effectively.

to raise the professionalism of the workforce. The Competency
Unit aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills in
supervising scaffold erection, inspection and dismantling work
activities in construction and other related industries.
