This Perform Thermal Insulation Work Course provides participants with essential skills to execute thermal insulation tasks in industrial settings. The course emphasizes compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) legislation and organizational procedures. Participants will learn to interpret insulation work drawings, select appropriate materials, and perform prefabrication and surface preparation tasks. The program also covers installation and inspection of insulation systems to ensure quality and effectiveness. This hands-on training prepares individuals to perform insulation work safely and efficiently, enhancing energy efficiency and system performance in various applications.
This unit is relevant to operators, technicians and supervisors across all process sector, to carry out thermal insulation work.
On completion of this competency unit; learners will
have the knowledge and application skills to perform
thermal insulation work as per specifications which
include fitting insulation around obstructions, shape
insulating materials and protective coverings as
required, inspect and maintain insulation work done to
ensure compliance to specifications.
