This course focuses on plant civil work, offering comprehensive training in essential construction processes. It covers safety and health legislation, preparing students to follow workplace safety protocols and organizational procedures. Key topics include setting out work, pre-concreting, and concreting work, along with cement grouting and concrete fireproofing techniques. Through a blend of theoretical lessons and practical applications, students will gain hands-on experience in various civil tasks. By the end of the course, participants will be proficient in essential civil construction skills, ensuring they can contribute effectively to plant civil work projects while maintaining safety standards.
This unit is relevant to operators, technicians and
supervisors across all process sector, to carry out
plant civil work.
On completion of this competency unit; learners will
have the knowledge and application skills to perform
setting out, erecting, reinforcing and dismantling
formwork, placing, finishing and curing of concrete in
compliance with the requirements of WSH Act, related
regulations and organisational safe work procedures
